question regarding leg room

So I've been searching and reading posts on this site for awhile now, and I've decided to purchase a 996 TT. However, I don't want to waste 2 hours to drive to the closest porsche dealer just to find out I don't fit in one. So is anyone on here around my size, 6'5" 230 lbs, and can give me insight on the leg and head room in this car. Thanks.

I'm 6'3" with long legs. I sat in many small cars but this one fits great. I don't even drive with the seat all the way back and plenty of leg room. You will be suprised with the comfort.

Avoid the sport seats, for some reason less legroom

A center console delete from a MK 1 GT3 will help a little.

Apparently the PO of my car was a tall guy. I have the sport seats, but they were lowered (10mm) as a factory option. I assume it could be retrofitted. Cliff

I am 6'5" and 220 and I have no problems. Sometime I have the seat all the way back and others maybe 1-2 inches for all the way back. Most of my height is in the legs. 36" inseam.

Just go and sit in one. No one can tell you if you will fit because it depends on your frame. If you have a long torso or long legs it will make a big difference. In my case a couple of inches difference either way and I probably wouldn't have fit in the car. This was with the regular heated and electric seats, not the sport seats. BTW, I'm 6'5" and weigh a lot more than you.

Since I track the car I had to make some changes. I have the console delete and that helped a lot. I also have GT3 seats. In order to make it work I had to install the seats WITHOUT the sliders right to the floor so they can not be adjusted. Now I don't hit the ceiling when I have a helmet on. My guess is that my line of sight is probably closer to what was intended by the engineers at Porsche.

It's kinda funny now, my mechanic can't drive my car because he can't reach the pedals-he's about 6'0" tall.

I'm 6'4" 260lbs; I had power seats in my previous car and it was pretty tight, my current car has the manual sport seats and they seem to have more room.

I am 6'5", 240 lbs and I have long legs and arms (35" inseam and 36" shirt sleeves).

I fit very comfortably in my 996TT with stock seats. I could not wear a helmet, but other than that, I am very comfortable.

I have drive the car up and down the California coast (8 or 9 hours of solid driving each time) without any aches or fatigue.

The fact that Porsche's CEO is 6'3" might have something to do with it...
