Ut oh speghettio... I am in trouble now. Just wasted more space with this reply. Hey Matt, chill out. You're too damn coked up about this topic. Take a chill pill and enjoy you standard transmission and let others enjoy their automatics. If thats too much to ask put on your Hitler gear and go back to work.

Edit: I know I am right. They both go *click*. If you are so passionate about driving you would condem F1 cars for their clickity click transmissions. Thats not pure.

Matt,

Stick to me is the way to go, but I don't really care if someone gets a tip.. but, I bet you 100 dollars, that if I were to race you in a CGT, and me in an SLR in the nurburgring, I could almost guarentee that I would win, because of the ease of the autobox... unless you are amazing at tracking cars, a guy in an autubox will be much faster on the track..

As long as you know how to heel-toe downshift, match revs appropriately, and have competant driving skill (knowing how to apex, brake, and accelerate through a track... all which I know how to do, I think I would beat and equally competant driver to me if I had a manual and the other driver did not. Assuming that we had equal knowledge of the track at hand. Knowing the track is very important.

If I had my choice of a manual (stick shift) vs. a sequential gearbox on a track, I would choose the latter with no hesitation. I would much rather drive an Enzo on a track than a CGT for the sake of the gearbox.

I completely agree to that point. Everybody will love the tip if you use your TT as a daily driver in an urban environment. Where are all these situations where driving is a pleasure? Do you live in the mountains with great, long, winding roads to your mansion? Do you live near a race-track? Yea? Well, great for you... in that case you'd be better off with a 6 speed.

I live in a big German metropolis and every day I fight my way through an urban traffic chaos for hours and in 90% of all standard everyday driving situations I'm happy (, no... I thank da Lord!) to have a Tip. And in the remaining 10%, ...you can learn to have fun with a Tiptronic too.

I am not angry. I am just annoyed at your ignorance that you are so adament to display... but rarely do you meet people who own expensive sports cars and know anything about them, I have learned that more than ever during the last year working in the car business. You are just one of many people who will live in the bliss of ignorance. I am glad you think that your tiptronic is equal to the SMG transmissions of an F1 car. I am sure the salesman that sold you your car told you that too.

Well, at least you are voting for the person who won the debate.

This arguement is proving to be futile. The die-hard tippies are going to stay in their little world no matter what is said. Just like people will continue to vote for Bush no matter how many times he lies and sounds like a complete moron infront of the entire world. But, I guess it takes different kinds of people to make the world the diverse place that it is, so to each his own... and I will say this, there is opinions, and you certainly have the right to yours, but there is also bad taste and you certainly have it.

Congratulations! So do I. Why in Sam Hell are you getting a hard on for tiptronic then? BTW, the last 2 sentences in your post make no sense.

Let me guess, does your tiny tiptronic world come with chrome wheels and wood trim too?

Nope... stock rims and black leather/aluminum interior on a black exterior.

NO GT2 bodykit, no Tech-Art front, none of that cool race-pro tuning parts from your big, big 6speed manual racing world.

/edit: Only downgrade mod: I have a painted C4S lip installed.

I dont know if you noticed or not, but the GT2 pieces actually serve a purpose.
