Has anyone in here used Auto Critic to do their PPI in Dallas area? If not, is there a good shop to do the PPI in Dallas? Like always... Your replies are much appreciated.

There's quite a few Houston P-car owners here so maybe some of them can send you to a reputable place. I think there may even be one or two sponsors from that area, just not sure who they are.

I don't know anything about that particular company, but my experience with similar companies is that they are not very good. I worked on a dealer's lot about 15 years ago in High School, and I remember similar services coming by to check out some cars. Having worked part time there for a year, I could spot paintwork from 10 feet away. These guys spent two hours on some cars and couldn't even spot a full repaint. I'd try and find a good Porsche specialist who actually gets his hands dirty fixing cars, and knows what to look for.

If in Dallas, why not just use RUF?

Auto Critic in Dallas area

I used Matt at Auto Critic to go through my 2002 966 before I purchased it. He did an awesome job and I'd reccommend him to anyone looking into buying a car in the Dallas area. He pulled wheels, checked the suspension, gave me advice about researching the carfax report deeper, pressure tested the coolant system, measured the paint all around the car for body work, took tons of pictures for me, even measured the suspension adjustments on the camber - among many other things.
MOST importantly, he heard an abnormal noise in the engine and immediately drove it over to be looked at by a technician at Porsche. He then gave me the tech's name, who ended up further diagnosing the problem. This allowed me to buy my car with CONFIDENCE. Not only was Matt knowledgeable about Porsche cars (and their trouble areas), he's also a cool guy to talk to and get to know. I am super happy with him. He went above and beyond his fee. He is worth much more than his small fee suggests.
