My First DE - Pics / Video
Yeah, that is what I thought. Saw a recent post by jjbravo on them. What are you running?
That's the spirit. Looks like you had great fun. Good for you. Did you ever get your grill screens cut out and ready to install?

I would recommend that you not change the car at all this year. If you are only doing one more DE, 4 months from now, it won't be all that useful. Your money would be better spent on doing another event than on modifying your car.
I'd also agree with Larry. Sway bars are the best improvement per dollar that you can make. But you have to understand the car and how to set them up.
As for the homework - here's a very simple explanation of the concept of a friction circle:

Are you kidding? With Laguna Seca less than 10 miles away? And I'll never forget the time I broke it loose in the corkscrew. The mostly deserted mountain roads around here are so good, they're almost better than the track. I did the 3day Skip Barber at LS and then the Porsche Masters w/ Doc Bundy as my personal in-car instructor. How about you? Have you won any shows or is one DE as far as you've gotten?

Doubt mine is a show winner... It is clean, but not perfect. First time on a track for me! I am addicted I think!
I remember my first DE. I felt high, just like you do now. Understanding the physics behind behind concepts like the friction circle become so much more meaningful when you push yourself and your car into new limits. My opinion is that the best time/money spent in the whole equation is on improving your experience, knowledge and skill. Keep learning.
