Boost Leak?

Turbos seem to be sputtering after .6 or .7 bar. CEL will also flash, they stay solid. Only when you really give it the beans. Seems like if you wind up to it slowly, they're fine. Can't hit 1.0 anymore. Thinking some sort of pressure leak. Any thoughts?

I had exactly these symptoms two weeks ago. I had a boost leak at the passenger side intercooler/hose connection AND a bad plug/coil pack. You need to pressure test for the boost leak, and check the code for the misfire.

Plugs plugs plugs. Put some Denso IK22 iridiums in there and you will be good.

You have a CEL! For goodness sake, read the codes before you start buying and replacing parts.

As I and others have said, it is very likely plugs and/or coil packs. The labor to replace plugs is significant. I would recommend doing coil packs at the same time.

its not stock, he has exhaust, dv's and a tune, is it worth removing the maf and taking it for a quick ride to see if the problem persists ?

The car is in good hands. I'll be leaving it with my mechanic later this week as I will be out of the US all of next week. They'll have plenty of time to work it out.

I'll keep everyone posted.
