Can a 6'-4" frame fit in 996TT?

Sorry for the newbie question. I even did a quick search but found nothing determinative.

Im contemplating purchasing and importing a clean 993TT from US to Canada. Im 6'-4" tall, and even taller with a helmet on. I intend in participating in driving events, and taking the 993tt out once a while to stretch its legs ...

Would I fit comfortably in a 993TT?

Thanks.

I don't own a 996tt yet, but I would guess that you'll have difficulty fitting in a 996tt or 993tt that has a sunroof and a helmet on. I'm 6ft7 and have to slouch something fierce to fit in a 996 with my helmet on.

To add to your questions, on behalf of us tall folks, are there any members who have lowered the seats they have in their 996 to allow for more headroom and if so, could you please advise the vertical inches from the seat base to the ceiling. Thanks-

(though you mention both, since you're on this forum, i'm assuming you're asking about the 996TT)

i'm 6'4" and i fit fine (even with a helmet) in my 996TT. for longer drives, to be completely comfortable, i'd like a few more inches of legroom and the ability of getting the wheel closer...believe there are ways to do that. no issues with headroom. suspect some of this has to do with body geometry.

the one time i sat in a 997TT, it seemed to have a little more room.

you'll have to figure out whether you're more comfortable slipping the helmet on before you get in or putting it on once in...i found doing the latter works better for me.

all the best with the search.

technically you'll fit as you can adjust the seats to make yourself fit, but the big question is whether you'll like the seating position and whether you'll be comfortable

test drive, for as long as possible, not just a quick ten minute cruise

I'm 6'5" and I fit fine in my 996TT. I have less than 1" clearance left above my head.

HOWEVER: there would be no room for my wearing a helmet, which adds at least 1.5".

6'2" and in my normal sitting position my head hit with a helmet but was fine with minor seat adjustments. I would think you may have some problems at 6'4".

Most likely you will have more head room if you can find a 996TT without a sunroof. Maybe someone here can verify.

I am 6' 3" and have just enough room with a helmet.

I'm 6'4 and fit fine in my old C4 and in my Turbo now. I don't even drive with the seat all the way back! I'm not a skinny guy either.

I am 6'3 and fit well in the 996TT. Every 911 I have owned had lots of leg room. The issue is "how large are your feet"? I have a size 13 foot and have to wear thin sneakers otherwise my large, fat feet become restricted and thus, shifting becomes cumbersome.

15 4E's here.

I watch videos on the web of crazy driver's feet and I think "wonder if they could do that with clown shoes on?"
