So wife gave me the green light on doing something for my car. She would prefer something that will not increase HP cause she thinks I will kill myself...

So here are my options: turbo upgrade (like K24/18g), GT2 front and deck lid with huge wing, or coilover/shocks (like JIC's).

What do you think?

man its hard to say , suspension or turbo upgrade for sure cause both of those will put a huge grin on your face it all comes down to you , what you really want ,either you want some more power or you want increased handling .

Tough call between the turbos and suspension. The car really needs the suspension from day one and the 24/18G turbos are a fantastic upgrade. I think suspension first and turbos later.

 

I voted suspension - First, you have EPL stage 1 already, second the car desparetly needs a suspension, Lastly (not really a reason), I'm jealous your wife gave you the go ahead. My upgrades are all black operations under cover of the night paid with funds from the Iran Contra scandal of the 80's

 

I am a big proponent of suspension first. You have just 2 DE's behind you, so it isn't HP that you need most right now, IMO. In addition to the coilovers, you really need to do swaybars and lower control arms to get the suspension set up.

I've ridden with you, and I think that you have some pretty good skills. Getting the suspension setup will allow you to extend those skills. Both mods would make you faster, but only the suspension will make you better.

The third option of wings and things might make the car prettier to look at, but no faster. You gotta decide what's most important to you.

In all seriousness, do the suspension first. I did 18g's and my car handled so poorly with stock suspension, I couldn't even drive it.

 

Always a good idea to listen to the boss!

I don't have a recommendation. My car came with PSS9's, and they have been ok for me. I haven't looked into it much further. Lots of folks on here know more about the different options than I do. I think that I'll just subscribe and watch what they say.
