Tuned Porsche hits 241 MPH
Very quick indeed, would like to know if it was calibrated with timing beam or radar, or external GPS though.
Not knocking 9FF as if they have the 800+bhp it should do that speed, but with handheld GPS there are some problems with using them inside cars, especially those with cages. Basically the metal shell and the cage can interfere and block the signals, meaning less satellites have locked and you can get error readings. I had this with my Garmin handheld GPS on the autobahn a couple years back, most of the time it was OK, but occasionally it gave an incorrectly high temporary reading at very high speeds (by about 20mph) which it stores as the max.
Thats why the GPS data-logging systems (Race Technology, Racelogic etc) all use external roof-mounted GPS aerials to ensure enough satellites get a lock for it to be accurate.
If it's Nardo they should have radar there.
Just my 2p.

Porsche beats McLaren
After some checks and sample rounds he locked on the course in Apulien with proud 388 km/h. Thus it an entry is safe in the Guiness book of the records. So far this title belonged to a McLaren, which had brought it on 386 km/h.

Hats off to 9ff. They did their homework and it paid off. That's an example of, "Mind over Matter." If you don't mind driving that fast, then it don't matter what's behind you.
Now, is that thing street legal?
