Why did you go with a 996tt
Why did you go with a 996tt
What pushed you to a 996... The value, the car, maybe WAF? It doesn't seem that there is a pressing collector stigma with this model but something about it's mystic that still makes it look good in your driveway. I'm thinking it's more the power to dollar ratio that makes it so appealing, with not the big hit on resale (if that matters). Iv'e been in 930's for years and maybe that's the point, time to get a little bit darker yet... opinions?

Was looking for a TT 911 that had less than 25k on the clock and was 3-5 years old for my first P-car
Basically a good used car that had taken the big depreciation hit already.
Found the car in my sig, bought it.
Now that I am more informed on P-cars and the various 911 models, I will run this one for a wile as my fair weather DD and look for a 993 TT as my next P-car when it's time to take this one of the DD rotation
Not at all disappointed that I got a 996 first, probably would have made the same choice knowing now what I did not then.

Main reason I chose the 996TT was the interior. I know I wanted a 911 Turbo, but the older models interior was too outdated for my taste...
Plus I wanted something I could drive and not sit in the garage worrying about it...

2nd that.
I like the 997tt a lot, but you can't beat the value of the 996 these days. Plus it's a damn good looking car!

It's a timeless design and it's bomb proof. The fact that this car is SOLID can only be appreciated after years of ownership. This car doesn't really wear anywhere. From a performance standpoint this car will never become irrelevant. It's quite simply the fastest, most reliable street car you can buy today... Next year you can add say 50-250 HP to keep up
. That's not even talking about the 997 version...
