2WD conversion, need outer front stub axles asap!! Can they be bought somewhere?

Hi, does anybody here know if the front outer stub axles/tension bolts can be bought somewhere (in order to make 996TT 2WD conversion by removing front half-shafts + front diff + driveshaft)?

I'm not into the idea of killing my own front half-shafts, so I'd like to just remove them and plug in new outer stubs and make a nice neat swap (I haven't had any problems removing the stub nut, just needed the right mega tool ).

Thx!!

You likely won't find the stub axles for the turbo. Most here just take the axles apart. You won't ruin them and it doesn't take much time. maybe an hour for both sides. Just pull the boot back, clean the grease, squeeze the "hard to see" clip, pull stub axle off (might have to tap it off lightly with a hammer), remove small cage and marble sized ball bearings, clean all the grease out and you're done.

I don't think you can put them back together after splitting them... at least that's what I've read.

They can absolutely be put back together. It's only a clip thats keeps them together. It's VERY hard to see and most people just hammer the stub axle off over this clip I guess?

You can put them back together no problem when taken apart properly. I had found a part number for what appeared to be the stubs by themselves, however when it came install time they were not correct so we ended up splitting the axles anyway.
