I'm with OS...I don't know them but added my .02 in the thread. Something isn't adding up reading through that thread. JJ having to send a circled diagram of the PS reservoir because they didn't know where it was? They're supposedly THE Porsche dismantlers on the East Coast

they quoted me $700 for used gt2 control arms.. they cost that much new.. i dont know who this guy is but he didnt even know what control arms were i had to send him a picture.

 

Well, they paid for a basic sponsorship, so that means we are obligated to (a) support them with our business, and (b) not say anything derogatory about their business practices.

I've not had good luck dealing with dismantlers- their prices are usually 50% or more of "full list", and one can usually get good prices on new OE parts through real porsche dealers on this forum.

 

I sent a PM and they didn't event bother to answer...

Still no news from them Steve I take it, doesn't look good when they need pics sent so theycan identify parts.

 

I don't know what the hell is going on there, I have tried calling them and also sending another PM & Post since whoever it is from FAB-WORX has been on today.

 

FYI - I've been having difficulty communicating with them as well. I posted my experience in the main thread.

 

Sounds like a quality business that I'd want to do business with! LOL!!!!! Sorry to all the people having problems with them!

Report them to IB... I doubt they will do anything because it's income to them, but never know...

 

Don't know them, nor do I want to. The thread parting out the wrecked GT2 looks worse than the car itself!

 

I disputed the charges with my CC company.

I'm assuming some of the folks having issues have reported them to the Moderators (IB)...

It seems that IB's paranoia about preventing any business that is not paying them from having access to this board (ie we cannot post links, we cannot mention pricing/parts from non-paying vendors) may be a one way street...lets hope not. Part of our 'deal' as members should be 'fine, we'll stick with vendors, you keep bad vendors off the board'. (Some mods will scoff at this, thinking ''deal, so what are you gonna do? There is no 'deal'...", but in fact there is a trust capital that IB will squander if they fail to address this matter.)
