I know there's a lot of demand for LED Taillights for the 996 Turbo. I wonder why noones trying to make them?

Theres even LED taillights for the first generation 997's now and the 996 Carreras ofcourse. Seems like the widebody 996's are getting left behind.

Also, has anyone used LED blinkers in the rear to get rid of the orange bulb reflection?

Those are sweet, I would think they could sell a large enough quantity of those to 996TT owners to recoupe their development costs. The real question is, who wouldn't want a nice set of LED taillights ?

 

Pretty cool... Would love to see something like that for our car.

 

Let us finish the 997.1 tail light and I will ask factory how many and how much to make similar for WB 996!

Excellent!!! Although the older light system flows so well with the 996TT Let's see what you guys can come up with

 

What doesn't make sense is that they made 996 NB tail lights and skipped the wide body cars. It seems like it would have been pretty simple and logical to include us.

When I had the 996NB, I installed them and loved the way they updated the rear end. It literally looked 10 years newer with them.

im down for led tails also.

 

I also want LED's for my GT2 .

 

I had the smoked version so you really couldnt see LEDs unless they were on. The clear glass was a huge improvement over the cloudy lenses.

 

Should we start a list of who would actually purchase this? Maybe ray could forward it on to his source?
