Standalone or not to standalone

Standalone or not to standalone
Members,
I feel I am at the end of what the montronic can handle with normal 1-1 fpr (no FMU). I feel the ramping up the fuel pressure to levels that 800cc injectors act like 1250cc or bigger just does not sit well with me.
Lets hear what the membership feels about running a standalone ecu.
Things to take into account. I own my car out right and have spent a small fortune on it that will never be recouped in any type of sale.
Regards,
Tim

For sure a MoTec. That is why I am on this. I drove a cup car with a tt motor running gt30's it was making around 700 hp at 1.1 bar and drives way better than any other car I have driven at that power level and is using 2250cc injectors. Part throttle blows out any 800cc injector car flashed car.

They used the turbo rear quarters and ducting. Costume made in stock turbo location. The motor was so smooth and rev happy. There is no wonder why all the cup cars use MoTec.

I have the stock ecu so the vin can be read as can the obd2 readiness. As long as there is no codes (i install cats) it passes.I dont think that can be done with a motec as far as i know.May be it can with a piggy back but as far as i know with a full Motec running all the functions that wont work.I could be wrong tho.

Perhaps I'm missing something here but the motronic is a really sophisticated ECU so I'm not really seeing the advantage of a standalone especially at the power levels being described? What's the advantange of running a standalone vs tuning the DME?
