996tt Top Gun Shootout
Buddy,
They do not have that particular type of equipment to measure that particular type of contest. I am attempting to get it so we can add some braking tests.
How is the Red Monster coming along?

Buddy,
Sounds great. I have traded e-mail with Todd at EVOMS. Since you are bringing the Red Beast (Stage V) he is wants to bring a Stage IV GT. Hamann is representing Protomotive. Duane is in the process of finishing his own beast. Asgar from Weissach Performance is attempting to have a Ruf entered. Dave Colman is talking to CEC about a Techart GT Street.
S Car Go Racing is providing a GT 2 as a ringer. Now this should resolve some disputes regarding handling and acceleration.

zippy,
How accurate is that G-tech in measuring braking distance and from what speeds? Is this the best unit or is there better units available?

I will be keeping my eye on this. I subscribe to Excellence and look forward to the article but will you guys release any results prior to the article? If for some reason the article doesn't reach print (based upon cjv's previous statements that the editors reserve the option to do with it as they see fit, or not do anything potentially) is there a backup plan for all of the collected data?
