There is some debate about the strength and durability of titanium bolts on the track and some events outlaw them. Just FYI.

Poggipollini manufactures similar bolts for Ferrari's F-1 team. I am really not too concerned these bolts will crack or otherwise not perform much better than stock steel.

Where is the debate? Can you point to some sanctioned body of racing that has outlawed these bolts or some professional standards group that is calling these bolts in to question?

"similar"? You ever see a F1 car? Doesn't sound like it to me.

How often are they replaced on a F1 car? Every race? Every season at least. I'll go out on a limb and guess that they'll be on your car for a heck of a lot longer timeframe.

I'm not saying they are inferior to stock, just that you're reading way too much into the fact that they supply a completely different product for a totally different application.

Tech inspection:

Lug nuts - torque to 94-96 Lbs. Steel lug nuts are recommend (required for Race).

You may be right. They may be thinking of aluminium lug nuts, but who the hell would ever use aluminium? I'll try to check some more. I know titanium is somewhat brittle but that may not matter here.

I was doing a little research on Titanium, it doesn't seem it's as strong as I thought it was, but it is much lighter. One of the many comparisons in the car world...
