Who makes fender intakes?

1) 911tuning - works only with their style 4.5" intercoolers
2) proto - ~$2k for only the fender intakes
3) anyone else?

get them custom made by any fab shop. 2 K&N filters, few bend and welds will run you 500$ TOPS.

i am not running blow-thru setup. i had the turbo inlet pipes fabricated.

the blow thru fender setup is only needed for really high hp applications I've been told...

yeah...i am asking because I am trying to get there...

People with tiptronics can really modify the stock-style intake system because the drivetrain is too big...therefore, tiptronics really need to go with fender intakes.

i am bit confused as the differences between fender intakes and blow-through.

I guess fender intakes without MAFs are blowthrough?

so far no one is currently running a 996 tiptronic mafless so I really just need fender intakes...problem is putting a MAF in there. I already have a vivid y-pipe and i don't think a MAF can be added. I don't want to replace the y-pipe just to get one that fits a ford MAF because softronic told me he does not want to do a tune for a ford maf.

Fedner intakes - > Turbos -> Intercoolers -> MAF -> Motor

Thats a blow thru setup.

A stock pull thru setup is Airpox -> MAF -> Inlet Pipes -> Turbos ->Intercoolers ->Engine

As far as I know PROTO are the only ones that will tune a blow thru. Maybe Evo MS

We run the blow thru like Proto...
We normally do not sell the piping alone as it is part of a complete kit...
Sure it can be made custom but be aware.... in the end the cost of labor, rubbing issues, and the knowledge of doing it right might bring you back where you started... I can sell it for $995.
You will need filters and very expensive silicone LONG couplers.
But if your not running a blow thru MAF then you cant use it... then you might as well do our soft piping set up...

I have a soft one now (silicone), but it still has kinks and is not good enough to run alpha 30s, and maybe not even 28s.

I need fender intakes that work with stock style intercoolers (I have the 997.2 intercoolers)

Todd K will tune. You can either get the kit from Mark, or Todd (why not Mark.....and his fab work is a bit prettier).

Have Steve Ott at drivers Source do the install and remote tune w/ Todd K.

I have the full enchilada set up and you will get years of bulletproof enjoyment (unless you are like so many here who change their cars like shorts).

I make over 600 on pump and the car never breaks down.

Thanks Sean, but there currently is not a mafless tune for a tiptronic that is problem-free and I already have a AP y-pipe (so adding a MAF to that willb e hard).
