Review of Toyo Proxes 888 on my GT2

My GT2 sold a lot quicker than I thought and I got a TON of calls from all over the Country on it. As well as running a PPI and a compression and leakdown test (Compression 195+ PSI all around, leakdown 1% all around), I also put new tyres on it to replace the PS2's... Toyo Proxes R888's in stock sizes; What a difference! WAAAAAY more grip than the PS2's and they are more compliant over rough surfaces...

Far more confidence inspiring in the corners and no wheelspin under full boost in 2nd gear which the PS2's had...

Big thumbs up from me.

Yes, R888's are sticky. They're a good compound for the track too

Not sure... I sold it as part of a new investment venture.. I have to scrape up $600K in cash for a real estate deal, so one of the toys had to go and the GT2 was the one I could get the most cash for. I'm going to miss it.. best Car I have ever owned and I took the time to set it up perfectly...

I was #1 in the USA on the list for the new McLaren, but as soon as I saw it and drove it, I didn't like it.. too much electronic stuff going on.. For a really off the wall Car, I really like Spykers.. I drove one at Pebble Beach and I laughed my *** off, it was so much fun; not a fast Car, or the best handling, but by FAR the best interior I have ever seen and just a work of art, automotive jewelry... I'll probably pick up a 599 GTO or a Scuderia in 6 months though if my venture goes to plan...

Cheers.

r888's are fantastic, only thing that lets me fully put it to the ground without any wheel spin

Good grip but lots of road noise. NT01's, same grip, less noise.

That surprises me, my PS2's are almost silent compared to any track tire I put on my car.
