huh? why is this leaking???

So i have noticed this little leak on the front of the car on the driver side next to the battery tray. I started investigating and I have come to the conclusion that it is coming from this green cap
what can be causing this? over filled? something else

Your clutch slave is going bad. Do a search on clutch slave and you will get all and more info than you will ever need.

Look at your steering reservoir. The fluid is migrating from the steering reservoir to the clutch reservoir overfilling it. This is due to faulty clutch slave actuator as mention by TurboTodd.

Now is the perfect time to do the GT2 slave conversion.

I was reading into it but it is more work and money than what I am willing to put into it now.. just tired of cars in general

I have to look at the part that is in the car though, the car has a gt2 clutch and a few other parts so I want to make sure I replace it with what it is in the car already.

Doing the conversion call for removing the tranny right?
my head is about to explode from reading so much into it and the information is all over the place, there is not really one thread that covers the whole thing

I have not personally done the conversion with the trans in. I have done it with the trans out but think it could be completed with it in. If the engine and trans were lowered I would think there would be enough room.

The cost of the OEM parts to repair are close to the GT2 kit cost. The GT2 is a better design that wont fail again.

I am in the same situation as you right now. My slave is bad and I'm debating going to GT2 conversion. For now I am just migrating the fluid back to the PS reservoir manually

Can someone explain to me why Porsche has the power steering system connected with the clutch? Why the heck does the power steering fluid tie into the clutch slave at all?

My leak is very minimum at this point and it only happens if i drive aggresively. Ill start looking into both options and see what i decide i guess

I believe it is to hydraulically assist the clutch action. Part of the gentrification of Porsche. You are manually migrating fluid from front to rear?!

A royal PITA, I would imagine. I have contemplated the gt2 conversion myself a few times, but I enjoy the stock clutch action ( when it's working properly ).
I figure when if/when I go gt2 slave conversion, it'll be with a lwfw and clutch... all or nothing.
