Not a 100% true. I'm going back to the 996 intake.

Todd said he found that on big builds the 996 intake worked better with the cams he puts in. He says it has a smoother power curve. I have both intakes so if thats what he thinks then i go with what he says.

Hey there Ali,

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner but we had one of those rare American holidays this past Monday (Labor Day).

Of course we would warranty any TB that was found to be defective. These are not IPD TB's, but genuine Porsche TB's. If the TB is in fact defective it would be the first defective TB we've experienced in 8 years, but there is always a first time for everything. Regardless, send it back for a FULL 100% money-back guarantee OR we can send you another brand new 74mm TB and you can send the defective new TB back to us.

Just let me know what you'd like to do (via e-mail) and we'll do it.

Cheers,

Greg

Greg and Mike @IPD provide excellent customer service. They even give out Mike
s cell phone number and I have personally called him on off hours and he's picked up the phone to just chat. They are both stand up guys and I am sure you will get your money back for the TB once you send it back.

The 996 fits the 996 with stock intake halves and the 997 fits 997 and 996 with the 997.1 intake halves (996 with a little work)
