DIY Door Refresh Interior (Scratches and Nicks)

Researching options from the leather dye/repair kits to interior rehab experts (in the Miami area). It's not bad - just annoying and most products (such as dash cleaner/restorers) don't seem to last very long - or rub off. Anyone have experience with restoring the interior of the door as a DIY project? For those with leather dye kits - any lessons learned?

No clue on that one. You might put a copy of this in the detailing forum. There is bound to be someone there who has dealt with this. Good luck!!!

Leatherique is good and you'll hear good things about it. I re dyed my shifter and steering and they look brand new a year later. It's all about the prep, and I think door panels would be easier to do.

My panels aren't really beat up but I would love for them to look brand new again. I have been wanting to Leatherique them for a while but just haven't done it yet. The process is fairly straightforward but in order to properly refinish the leather and have the product last you need to set aside 4 continuous days. You should have the pieces off the car because you need to control the temperature it sits in. My little brother and I refinished Cinammon interior from his E46 M3 and it worked amazingly, it looked brand new again when we were done. We also dyed black leather to LSB and its been about two years and its held up really well. Do not do the brush method, you should have a small artist point brush for small details. We bought a small compressor with airbrush gun (like for nails) from eBay, you can control the consistency and thickness of what you lay down way more than you could ever with brushing. Got all the stuff from Leatherique pretty quick.
