GT3 front and rear sways on 996TT?

I did a search and only found info on the rears.

Can anyone confirm if both the front and rear GT3 sway bars will fit on a 996TT? I realize the drop links will need to be replaced with aftermarket ones.

For reference front part no is 996 343 701 90.

Thanks

Yes. I have front and rear GT3 Sways in my 996TT.
You will need the drop links.
I suggest tarret droplinks.

Thanks for the info.

Of course, every setup is different but would you mind sharing which stiffness settings, front and rear, you are using for reference?

I think,
Front - Midle hole (the gt3 sway bar have 5 holes)
Rear - Second hole front the finnish (the gt3 sway bar have 4 holes)

I have bilstein PSS10 with setup:
Front - 5
Rear - 6

I would add an H&R rear bar instead of front/rear GT3 bars.

These cars really need more rear wheel rate to feel balanced.

Later, Steve

Thanks Steve. Interesting comments.

By any chance, has anyone tried both set ups and recommend one over the other? Again, I understand every one and their car is different but some advice would be nice. It makes sense that with the amount of understeer on these car, a thicker rear sway would help substantially, but if one were to go less stiff up front and more stiff in the rear on a matching sway bar set, would a similar result be achieved. In this case, a stronger front bar with drop links, compared to stock, would be used.

The H&R rear bar (set in the middle) in combination with the front OEM sway works wonderfully in conjunction with H&R coilovers on the 996tt. Set up about -2.0 front / rear camber and all the under steer is gone. Great set up on a budget. I ran this for several years before going to JRZs. Btw, don't waste your money on rear dog bones. Get toe arms instead.

I have gt3 bars front and rear. I have gt2 uprights and no front drive. My car feels very good even with my drag alignment. All solid RSS control arms upper and lowers. awd solid subframe bushings and motor/trans mount.

Thanks for everyone's advice.

If the cost factor was removed, would the H&R rear only still be favored over the GT3 front and rear set?

Note, driving style would be mostly for street and DEs.

The issue that becomes more important is the drop links. The OEM drop links are way undersized. I've snapped a few as have other members on this board.
