I just like the idea of a resonator in place of the stock cats. Think it'll be fabspeed like but quieter. The Boxster exhaust soundclips on YouTube by m2 sound great. The cats clog on the stock exhaust overtime my 996tt has 83k on stock exhaust. Will be a good side by side comparison. Ps I miss my europipe. This 996tt is built on a budget.

OP, take your time and save for tried and true parts... thats why you joined the forum , to learn, isn't it? most here have been down "the wasting $ road". its about watching your car turn into something you can be proud of, for me anyway.. good luck on what ever you decide..
I agree with this 100%, couldn't have said it better myself.. I understand the OPs want to try something that is cheap and looks to be equal performance for a hell of a lot cheaper. But you're putting a discount unproven part on a high end vehicle. Hope it turns out we're all wrong and this turns out to be a hidden gem but at that price point it's really hard to imagine that being true. If you had an expensive home, you wouldn't want to put low quality build materials in it, you'd save up until you could afford the proper materials befitting an expensive item(house, car, boat, etc). So i guess just keep us all updated on how it works vs OEM/other more $$ exhaust options.

LOL will keep it in mind but I more want to test this out. I spoke to M2 directly and they have only sold about a handful in the US. Worth trying it out. Also guys is you see my Avatar I had a Europipe. I understand fully the greatness that exists out there. Just giving a new product a shot. -Suman

Well you never know until you try it out, so at that price point I guess it's worth a shot. Btw i see ur from Greenwich, I'm in CT also. Love to check out the ride once the new part is up and running. I'll bring down some toys of my own.

Definitely looks interesting. A hit or miss kind of thing, I'm pulling for a hit for you. I'm in Rye Brook, I'm surprised I haven't seen you around. I'm in Greenwich a good amount of time.

Hehe, I like the way you think.

You could sort of say the same thing about having a German car and putting high quality American made parts (exhaust, etc.) on it, right? Anyway, it's not always easy to be consistent right?

$600 means $300 in parts. I've learned twice now with the cheapo chines headers. So crappy.

That said, it does LOOK nice. Much nicer than my $4500 9ff dual-tone setup. But then, the 9ff has lasted taken 8 years of punishment. The $150 ebay headers (which incidentally vivid sells for $1500 lols) lasted 1 year before they cracked and started causing CELs. incidentally, it looks like M2 is selling the same headers...for $250!

I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the exhaust. I do agree with some people that you get what you pay for but I don't feel that to be necessarily the case with Porsche parts. They are WAY overpriced! I'd like to see the margin on some of those products; it has to be huge. I wouldn't knock the M2 exhaust until someone had a good look at it first.

I agree you get what you pay for most of the time, but....there is companies making the identical products for a fraction of the cost, they just don't have the name to back the huge price. Could go either way

It all depends on the manufacturer. Some Chinese companies are run by Westerners who put more emphasis on QA. The place has evolved a lot and not all products are that difficult to make...
