Christmas in Feb

The FedEx fairy stopped by yesterday. So now in addition to replacing my transmission mount, I get to install some of Enrique's handiwork. Uber kuhl.

i have been in a quite a few turbo's with various exhaust setups! this is the best.. the angle the x merges creates a unique tone and prevents heat being captured at the merge!

Awesome work EBWerks -

Can you make one for my 997??

Beautiful! I'd love to hear your thoughts on the exhaust with cats once you get it installed.

Stopped by Porsche North Scottsdale to grab 2 new seal rings, 8 nuts and washers for the turbo to cat junction. Holy MOLEY! Even at wholesale pricing, the seal rings $34.46, nuts were $3.35 each, and washers were $5.07, EACH! These are washers fer gossake. Itty bitty 8mm washers. $5.07 per. What are they made of, inconel? With tax it was $149.xx for two gaskets and 8 nuts and washers. THAT is a Porsche tax boys and girls.

Cheers
Mikey

The Stock washers are useless and that is a retarded price from the stealership. You could have bought them from a bolt supply house for about < 30cents each.

But what you really wanted was Nord Lock washers. They are the best thing since sliced bread for that application.

Well I spent a couple hours doing the exhaust install yesterday. I soaked the cat nuts and muffler strap bolts in penetrating oil overnight, they came right off with zero problems. O2 sensors off, gentle finagling got the behemoth stock system off. Dang but that thing is heavy.

The EBWerks exhaust went on and it sounds just great. Yes it does drone a bit when lugging the engine between 2000-2500. It's not bad, and it disappears above 2500. Even with cats and mufflers, it's a race exhaust plain and simple. But my oh my, does it make music above 3K.

Cheers

Thank you. I've been lusting over that exhaust for quite a while. Glad the cats didn't take away from the symphony. I wonder if they made any difference in the sound note. I absolutely love the way it sings, just don't want it too overly loud.
