HA HA It's a Reagan quote from the cold war! I believe it is in a Def Leppard song as well!

did I put my walkman?
Well. Still have a few things to work out with Markski, but it's still a drastic improvement over the old setup, even without all the fine tuning finished.
LEMMON 714
Those things would turn a nun into gangbang queen. In the summer of 1981, I woke up in the girls dorm in Oxford
Mississippi. I was apparently engaged to be married to a Pharmacy
major. It was news to me.......quaaludes.
Did you get the timing straightened out? You should be able to run
a 16 billet tune w/60 lb inj tune!?!? Am I missing something here?

Got it running today and Fred drove it ever so gently. Engine / trans are
100%!!!
We get the hose from Pelican tomorrow and Fred's gonna finish the tune
with Chris. I'm sure we'll go back and forth on the tuning for a while and
(fingers crossed) we'll be ready for the dyno by Tuesday or Wednesday.
Here's one for the board.
Got the car up and running. it drives. and it looks like everything is communicating with each other.
One thing I noticed was I had no coolant temp reading on the Inst. cluster.
DME and ProEfi both have a good ect reading. Also the low coolant lamp is flashing.
The cluster inputs thu the PIWIS II tester all show ok. for coolant level.
This all points to no data over the can to the cluster. Took the proefi harness out and plugged the dme back in and same thing. No temp reading at the cluster.
So that should eliminate any wiring or issues with the ProEfi unit.
At this point I'm thinking cluster but it makes no sense why it happened now.
Right now I cant focus too much on something little like this but it bugs me and I find myself drawn back to finding out what the hell is going on with it.
Before any one ask power and gnd to the cluster are good. CAN data is getting to the cluster. Pointer sweep test is good also. Makes no damn sense other than a cluster fault.
Any one seen this before?

Found the dash issue.
During the last build the signal return line insulation was damaged and allowed
the wire to become corroded and brittle. Wire was broken inside the sensor connector.
The DME will substitute and value from the oil temp or calculate it and allow the proefi to see a signal.
I had to disconnect the proefi and check it with just the factory dme in place
to get anywhere with it.
Now on to tuning the proefi system. What a pain in the *** to learn without and knowledge base there to explain the system ins and outs

what injector are you using?
