Shifting/Transmission Issue

My shifts into gears, all of them, are difficult. First gear can be very difficult, but all of them feel as though the synchros are not aligned. I had the fluid changed and inspected by a very reputable indy Houston shop and the old fluid was clean of debris. They adjusted the shift linkage and added the recommended fluid, but the shifts are difficult. They do get more, slightly, difficult as the transmission heats up. I had a B&M and changed to a 997TT kit when the B&M failed. Any suggestions? I hate to think a rebuild is necessary considering the cost. However, the lack of metal in the fluid makes me think it's something else.

was the transmission mount inspected? possible it has failed and causing a misalignment hampering the shifting. mine looked fine from a cursory view but upon removal was broken inside in 3 places. did the window weld repair (20$) and my shifter feel improved drastically

The shop didn't mention anything beyond the fluid and cable adjustments. I'll ask them though. The mechanic did drive it after the fluid change and said there was slight improvement. But I see none.

Check the slave cylinder too. Look for full/overfilled front reservoir under the hood.

Yep what ttboost says. Its more than just adjust with a adjustment jig and let er rip.
I left my console off, drove around and made small adjustments as I drove. Really need to spend some time tweaking it. The end result is worth the effort.

With the cable needing adjustment, does the gear engagement feel like the synchros are not meshing? Once in gear, it stays in, no play or popout.

once you get your linkage properly adjusted, i would have your choice of shop adjusted so as to disinclude your current shop from any future adjustments involving shift linkage.
