Thumbs up Finally took some good photos! Ruf RTurbo

I've been waiting to post about my new (to me) 2003 Ruf RTurbo (63k miles) until I had some proper photos. Now I do, and wanted to share. I made an album here on the site for you to check out. Any comments are welcome!

https://www.6speedonline.com/g/album/194017

The original owner did a great job with the car. In addition to the RTurbo conversion (he drove straight from Stuttgart to Pfaffenhausen then had the car shipped stateside). It has the Ruf front spoiler, rear wing, short shift kit, and foot pedals, carbon fiber throughout, new HRE C109 wheels and some pretty massive brakes. I've done the interior LED lighting mod and the garage door opener mod so far.

The original owner said he dynoed the car and it made ~600HP at the wheels. I have a lot to learn before I can take advantage of this thing!

Thanks for looking.

Gorgeous! You wouldn't want to be a pal and snap some pics underneath of the undertray under the left/right side radiators? i'm trying to make sure mine is installed correctly. Part of it got tore on the drivers side but it just seems to hang down even on the passenger side.

Is this how yours is, or is it supposed to be flush?

Please get rid of those mirrors and get some euro convex mirrors.

Please!

ECS and Suncoast should have them.

The underside of my Rturbo bumper is completely flat. Nothing hangs down whatsoever except the brake duct scoops.

Very nice car. Did RUF put in their LSD when they did the conversion?

I think what i'm looking at though is the brake duct scoops? Would they be positioned almost directly underneath the left and right side radiators?

Those are not brake duct scoops. The "flap" in your picture is part of the 996TT front fender liner and allows air to partially vent under the car from the radiator fans. You also have louvers in the front portion of the fender liner that vent air out of the wheel well ahead of the front tire. None of the radiator air is used for brake cooling on the 996TT. My car does not have this as it has GT2 fender liners that are solid on their underside and have an opening that vents the air behind the front wheel and to the front brakes for cooling. Hope that helps.

Great question. I didn't see it on the build sheet. They did exhaust, suspension, turbos, ECU, short shift, body work / wing, and pedals to my knowledge.

Pretty interesting how much you can optionally get when you get an RTurbo conversion (instrument panel, steering wheel, wheels, roll cage, shifter, etc.). The original owner didn't go "all in" on the Ruf options but I think he did pretty well.
