700whp - 800whp What kits did you OPTION and SELECT
Decided that I wanted to land at the 700-800 who range. Will be going with the full PROefi kit for ecu and fuel now looking into selecting the turbo kit. I have looked into the Sadd Racing kit is good for 1000whp+ , kit ranging about $10k that would handle all my needs. But pulling the trigger on $10k and only targeting 800whp MAX without knowing my other options would be a fail so, what ever input (either by experience or research) you might be able to contribute would be greatly appreciated. Im sure that there should be some other kits out there comparable that I could take to 800 and be close to maximizing the turbos without failing them. I will not be pushing the car to the 800 often. At most about 3-4 times a year with ShiftS3ctor events at the air strips but other then those events the car would be driven at a "moderate" level. Im not too much of a lead foot and a little more on the conservative side, just want the option available.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
trying to learn as much as I can prior to choosing the kit. Goal is 700-800 Whp on E85 flex
I think you should take a step back and just read. There is SOOO much that comes into play like this. Took me months of reading and talking to various, tuners, builders, moderators, members, before I even came close to my decision on what I wanted to do.
Minimum in my mind for 700whp is:
E85 Fuel System. Pumps, Surge, Lines, Big injectors
Tial 3076 Alphas
3 inch catless exhaust
Intercoolers
Rods
Bearings (should do)
Bolts
Head Studs
Lifters (should do)
Rings (should do)
Mafless Setup and Tune
Other Problems: Clutch? transmission? GT2 Conversion? RWD conversion?
The BIG problem: PORSCHE TAX………

unless you have $40K to spend... you need a built motor... and then some to do 800whp....

700-750 WHP is about as far as you'd want to go on a stock motor. Anything above that will require forged rods at a minimum.
Regarding "kits", you could build your own by sourcing parts from vendors like USP Motorsports, Champion Motorsports, 911 Tuning, etc using something like Alpha 28/30s Turbos and the necessary supporting mods.
OR, you could contact Saad Racing, BBi (Cali) or Protomotive (Arkansas) & EVOMS (Arizona). All of those shops very well known and respected, and can provide you with a kit that will easily maximize your stock motor and leave plenty of headroom if you decide to build the motor. Saad, BBi & EVOMS all have experience with Porsche + ProEFI, and I'm sure if you spoke with Todd at Protomotive, they could sell you just the hardware you'd need.

first, most of the kits in the porsche industry are labeled as crank horsepower and most of the kits will not achieve the horsepower number that they are called. example evoms gt700 kit wont make 700whp it would be lucky to put out 700hp at the crank,
700whp is shooting for 850hp at the crank you will need gt3076's and and alot of boost to hit this(5k), 3k into fuel system, with 4" intercoolers 3k, y pipe upgrade(3k), 3" exhaust(3k), twin/triple disc clutch(3-5k), now you havent done a lsd, the front diff is gonna fail, your tires now dont get traction. need new drag radials, oops now you broke both axles, 4k in axles, oh whats that you knocked a bit and threw a rod thought the case, yea 15k minimum to rebuild motor.
none of the prices above include labor, dyno time, or other broken parts.

I have a set of Tial GT3076s HTA turbos for sale if interested, barely used. Good for 1000whp on a built motor. On my 993 they came on around 3800 RPMs if not sooner. lit up very quickly.

18gs are about the biggest turbo needed to run up against the limits of the stock motor.
After some reading and some advice I'm thinking at topping it at 680-700 MAX (if supporting mods safely permit) and staying away from the 750 mark. The option to DD it would be nice for obvious reasons. Not trying to dump far more then my budget into the car to complete all the extras I have in mind. Especially since I haven't even identified the wheels I'm interested in so theres another 4-5k gone in the wind
