Champion v Forgestar
Champion v Forgestar
Am I a moron?
I need tires soon...I have 18in Rg5's
I like them, but seeing that set of ccw classics in the FS section got me looking around at other wheels. (Ideally that's what I'd rather get)
I like the Forgestar F14...reviews seem good. I'd probably stay 18in, pretty light weight. Obviously the price is nice too...
I'd go with gunmetal-ish color on my midnight blue car.

Forgestar makes some really nice wheels.
Almost every drift-car at the formula drift event I went to this summer was running them. They're just strong. Those cars take a beating too. Also they're cheap so if one gets dented its not too bad.
I think champion wheels are fully forged though, which would make them stronger- I think forgestars are just rotary forged.

i have the f14's in brushed alum and have been bashing them into rocks and debris for going on 2.5 yrs. they look great and at $375 a wheel you get to choose size and offset?? faggedadoudit they can't be beat.. and i've tried. though they can be bent lol
Yeah, I have the BBS RS-GT's. I love my current wheels, but they are stock sized. Wish they were 8.5 in the front, and 11.5 or 12 in the rear.
Also would like to get into some F14s to loose a bit of weight from my GT2 wheels. 315 out back looks pretty good!

I really like the CF10's and may get some at some point. The pictures on Forgestars page are a terrible representation. They look much cooler in pictures taken at an angle.
I've never had anything to do with Forgestar so I can't make any judgment there.
But Champion makes some of the nicest wheels I've seen. I like the pattern/style. I have the RS98's and I think they look amazing. They are super light, and from what research shows, about as strong as you can get. They aren't cheap, but I think there's a set on the FS section right now for $4000 which isn't a terrible price.

I have personally had good luck with Forgestar. My car is track only and I jumps lots of curbs. Any wheel can crack. I have cracked (and seen cracked) several top name brands and had issues balancing them, but my Forgestars balance easy and don't go nuts if the wheel weights fall off.
You can buy two sets of Forgestar for what some other brands costs, and from my experience doesn't make them any more durable, at least on a track setting.

i have the cf5 forgestars in 18" gt2 fitment. the single biggest issue i have with the wheels is the powdercoat quality control. if they would do a better prepolishing of the wheel the p/c would have flowed better with less outgassing

LOL
