First Kill: BMW M5
I had to check at the top to see if I'd accidentally clicked on a Honda forum.
I'm not sure which is worse, street racing or the fact you think it's worth bragging about.

Don't sweat it, Greg. Kill stories around here are definitely much rarer here than on say, "other" import forums. But I'm assuming that's just because we don't need them, as our cars are faster than all the others don'tchaknow...

i had an m5 for breakfast once, so i empathize with your posting and it's good to see that you realize the inherent danger involved.. though we all should agree that one should always observe the "basic speed law" and that still, for some of us, the m5's are behind us lol. so no need to do that again
It is interesting you seem fine with the practice and happy that you have mods that are also on board with the street racing.
Good luck with that.
Thanks for the lecture Dad, er I mean Ray.
I don't know you Ray, but I am pretty sure you have exceeded the speed limit before in your Porsche so flaming me for a post about speed is a bit hypocritical - but whatever, I am sure you feel better now that you have done your job as the Forum Police. Glass houses brother. Since speed bothers you so much, maybe the Honda forum is where you should hang out though.
I will admit that I have seen no other posts on this sort of topic here, so I will keep my public highway exhibitions of speed private from now on.

Like I said above, have fun with that.
My point would be you'd be hard pressed to find a guy that hasn't pressed the throttle hard on a public road, at least once or twice, particularly upon just owning the car.
Is it wise, smart, or down right unsafe? Or somewhere in between.. Or possibly even understandable as a "new to me holy crap, this things fast"!?
My point? Such as there is, is he has shown understanding, even while i'd generally agree that triple digits on public roads isnt phi beta kappa, I would still highly doubt the op was planning on this as a daily event. So *maybe*? some cut slack is in order. Maybe not. But again, its still a Turbo Porsche
So what mods do you have?
The new M5 is actually pretty fast, I went up against one and have to admit it was almost even but he pulled on me slightly.
Are you sure he just didn't come to his senses and slowed down, LOL.....
