First Kill: BMW M5
I agree but still fail to see what street "racing" proves? That you have the skill to mash the throttle on a car with more power? That you could pay for a larger turbocharger? Put a sweet old gray haired grandmother in a Veyron and she'll blow away anyone on this forum in a street racing contest by the mere poke of her cane.
And then she could brag about it at the assisted living home later...
And then she could brag about it at the assisted living home later...I've done some random "throttle mashing" on the highway vs a few random cars.
Ones I remember are few C6 vettes, M3, other 911s, F Bodies, ...
Always on clear roads with good visibility. It's fun, gives you adrenaline rush..etc etc. Even when I've lost, always a friendly thing where we're both giving each other the silly thumbs up and then we're off our separate ways.
BTW, to the original poster... this thread is drawing negative feedback because of the title "First Kill..."
It's impolite to use such language on the forums, sort of the looks you get when you discuss your salary & how well you did in the stock market in public.

What a bunch of hippocrates, crying about a kill thread?
Guys we drive 911 Turbos so we can whop ***, we all whop *** and feel good when we do it. Don't take the high road lying to yourself and us, we all do it and love it. That's why we have these cars, otherwise buy a Buick.
There are two types of 911 turbo owners. Those who race other cars on the street and those who lie about it.

"kill stories" reminds me of old, DSM days. I think the forum still exist where people share "kill stories" that some dude smoked a fast mustang or camaro, whatever, I beat the crap out of my car, I take it grocery shopping and Drive year round, Do i play safe? yep. Do I wave in/out in traffic? nope. Just stay safe and enjoy the car

no I didn't! AMG, Audi & SRT schools and hot laps in dozens of different cars at MRLS besides the 2 schools there....
Not so - there is a third type - The guys who leave the car in the garage and don't drive it.
i guess i can contribute here...
post titled 'First Loss - F10 M5'
I was at pocono raceway last weekend at the SlipStream roll racing event. It was a 60mph roll to 1600'. Maybe it was a bad launch for me, but I started in 3rd gear and the F10 got the jump...I started creeping up on it as we neared the finish 1600ft later. I ended up losing by about half a car length.
Those are quick buggers! (Mods or tune on the F10 unknown)

Even though this is DIRECTLY related to a 911 racing an M5, your example was done under semi-controlled conditions, in an environment specifically designed to support that type of event.
This thread is about a street race, during a commute. Please keep your racing on public streets. Thank you.

Go ahead and quote the words which indicate that I condone street racing.
You can't.
You take words out of context to suit your menstrual cycle.
FWIW, I have seen many a vid of cars driving/racing at extremely high speeds on public highways, splitting traffic on both sides, and that scares the hell out of me.
It takes just one mom in a minivan full of kids who can't judge the overtaking speed of the approaching cars that thinks she has time to make a lane change, resulting in being rear-ended by a 180mph missile.
Believe me, I understand your point.
What about your silence in those other numerous threads?
They are there, go back a few pages.
