First Kill: BMW M5
. back in the day this forums was ALL about street racing in "mexico". You had to go to the "other" forum to learn how to fix a doorknob. Now it seems that forum is dead and this one...Oh well, my tt is 14 years old! Nuff said!
first..
belated happy b day, best post here, lol

Hey, I'll admit it.
That WAS years ago, and on a completely empty stretch of 4 lane highway.
I will be the first to admit I love standing on the throttle and feeling the torque and pull of a turbocharged vehicle, but I'll also state that some of the street vids I have seen truly make me cringe.
Not cool man. Rude insults aren't needed here. We all share a common thread some how.
I have been on forums for a very very long time...I started modding cars when I was 18 and now at 41 and 23 cars later the passion is still there.
Everyone has a choice and will need to man up if anything bad happens...I will go above the speed limit when I am on an open road but it's still breaking the law but I am willing to accept the punishment if I get caught.
I feel personal attacks should be banned on any forums.

I comment on the immaturity of a "Kill thread" and I'm a dick for it??? That's rich.
I'm not the guy who erased every post in this thread along with your weak "speed limit" thread.
I'll just quote your post above for posterity. Heck it's the only post you have in this thread that hasn't been erased.
I have tried (sometimes unsuccessfully, right Ray?
) to take a less aggressive approach to posting here.Best to all and just be safe!

27 pages of street racing accepted and praised......... sad part of this forum it matters on who posts the thread or comment. More are widely accepted then others because of their internet rep..........
I actually enjoy seeing street racing stuff. To each their own.

I drive a DB9 in London, UK. Every now and then, the pedal is to the metal but only for a second or so, until the speed limit of the road is reached...that does it for me....
There are many faster cars around but the noise up to the speed limit is enough for me. Knowing when to take your foot off the gas requires skillage in the village, as they say.....

I've been 201mph on a private estate road which was cut off to anyone from the outside world and have been 140 mph on a totally empty highway that i circled up and down twice to make sure there was no traffic, but why would someone on a Porsche TURBO thread, where 99% of us mod our cars, get flamed for street racing.

There are tracks for drag and other types of racing within reasonable distance of most people. The bottom line if your wife or family member got killed by a speeding car your opinion would immediately change.

Guys - there are places to SAFELY and legally race your 'modded' Porsche TURBO. The public streets is not the place. It isn't necessarily inherently dangerous to drive fast, but it helps if the other drivers (that may be unseen) to be expecting to see a driver go by fairly quickly. Not everyone knows how to share the road in a safe manner.
