Question F-Car Question

I have a friend that would like to order a new Ferrari. For you guys with F-cars, can you suggest good dealers to work with and/or good Ferrari resources for newbies, owners, etc.?

I already know about Ferrarichat.com. Are there better places?

Any other good things to know about the ordering/buying process of F-cars?

Thanks in advance.

Dealers for newbies, not sure if there is such, so little cars made, so many accounted for, the Ferrari is a loop and tough to get in to at MSRP through a dealer, cars like the 575 arent as long of a wait, the 360 is untouchable at MSRP.

fchat really is the best place. go to your region section and post specific questions there. dealers can't, or aren't suppose to i believe, sell into another dealers area.

oh yeah, if he's wanting a 360 coupe or spider, don't be surprised if they don't seem too eager to get his business but i'm sure they'd be happy to unload a 575 or leftover 456 on him...

This just kind of cements what JAS stated...

Hmmm. Ferrari Mafia could be a tough nut to crack. I was hoping one could wait in line and get one at MSRP.... maybe that won't happen.

Thanks again for the info. 6Speed rules!

Holy schnikes! Didn't Nick just get on the list last summer for a spider and gets his early next spring?

Depends on your relationship with the dealer. No waiting list for this Italian

the dealers are fairly careful about selling outside their geography. your bud should get in tight with his dealer or dealers that service his area.

ferrarichat is easily the best ferrari forum on the net. nothing else comes close - great folks, stupendous knowledge.

doody.

Thanks Doody.

I'm thinking about getting a Brand new LHD 03 360 F1 in yellow that I was offered today for £80,000, do the numbers on that and I might be persuaded to give up the location of the horse, for a small fee of say 5% then you can ship it to yourself in the states for about £1500 I would think..
think about it, trip to UK, purchase new Fezza, ship it to yourself within a month !

If all a person wanted was the shear long-term driving pleasure of a Ferrari - that would be a good deal. The Euro car would kill resale though and that's one of the aspects that appeals to my friend. Whereas a trick p-car nose dives by comparison.

Thanks anyway....
