Last week,i raised the boost to see how she is running on GT35/86hta and voila no more 3rd gear.yesterday transmission arrived at Bill Rader motorsports,he will build it same BHT and CRR cars.

Ahh i used that turbo on my Evo. Great results. Loved it

 

yup mine just took a dump as well. I've heard of Bill Rader any other good gearbox builders in SoCal?

 

Here's what happened to my 3rd gear. Soon as I heard the clak clak I towed it to the shop to prevent any more damage. Luckily the pieces didn't venture too far.

 

expensive. no reason not to mention matt @ guard also. same jobs are cheaper if you're in la. by far.

Is your engine already strenghtend? Rods and so on? How much torque?
I have seen bend stock rods at 850nm, so the transmission should hold more.
How much? anyone knows?

 

A teeth from my 3rd was ripped of with 800 Nm.

 

On which RPM? I guess the critical RPM range for the stock rods is the same for the transmission.

 

really? strange. i spoke with matt years ago when i needed work done and i seem to recall that they built boxes but you'd have to r&r and ship to to them and they;d rebuild with the housing etc.. it's a been a long while since i spoke with about 4 known pros before entrusting the work to my "local" shop. you could well be right of course, perhaps they only sell the parts now(?).

in either event, if the guy matt @ gtgears is as giving of his time as he was 7+years ago? then its definitely worth reaching out, especially if someone is seeking a "built" box, as opposed to simply oem replacement parts. same with roger at ca motorsports.
