Boost pressure / CAN question

Anyone know if the dash gets it's displayed boost pressure value from the CAN bus or is it a standalone display directly from the sensor like the oil pressure gauge in the dash?

Anyone have a full list of the values that are available on the CAN bus on the 996TT/GT2?

CAN is what I've been told, pretty much everything on the dashboard is CAN data if what I've been told is accurate - that includes the gas gauge and boost gauge. With a standalone you can read higher than the stock pressure sensor for instance and the weird behavior with filling the gas with a 1/4 tank and key on can be fixed supposedly. I've never asked about the oil gauge but had thought it was CAN as well?

I'll check with the guys at my shop. We are going to be putting in a Motec and I was just wondering what all we'll be able to pull off of CAN. For some reason I wanna say that my understanding was that oil pressure was strangely enough not one of the items on CAN. I figured maybe someone had a list of all the items..

From the sensor (pressure/temp) to the DME (ECU) it is dedicated wiring....But from the DME to the instrument cluster it should be part of the can drive bus....

In fact oil pressure transmitter is connected directly to the instrument cluster: Look at the troubleshooting if you got the code 9121: Plug B pin 5...

It is only a deduction since I don't have access to all the data going through the busses , drive (low/high) comfort (low/high) but on the input data to the instrument cluster there are no mention of pressure/temp so it has to be through the bus connection "can antrieb high or low" antrieb being drive in english..... Comfort is normally related to the air conditioning data....

Interesting, talking to a contact at AEM I was told the following:

"(the Infinity is directly controlling oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, engine speed, boost pressure, oil pressure warning light, check engine light, reduced engine power light and plays a role in fuel level). ABS, PSM, and PASM all still work like stock and PSM can still be disabled."

I would assume that ProEFI andSyveccs would have to do the same for a properly operating dashboard. The wiring doesn't lie though but you still may find oil pressure and temp data on the CAN bus it seems.
