RSS/ERP TRIPLE CARBON CLUTCH not disengaging at High RPM

So as some of you know, a few days after putting together my car we took it for a run and at high RPMs the clutch didn't want to disengage and I hurt 2nd gear and possibly 3rd. Rob at RSS was really cool and said to ship him the whole clutch not just the Hub to check it out and we would take it from there. Hopefully we could find the problem. This clutch has the latest updated Hub he sent us a few weeks prior, what else could it be? I'm scared to fix the Tranny again, put in the clutch and the same thing happen. Part of me and my Mechanic Collin wants to just put in a Tilton and be done with but I'm so done putting money in this car that I don't have to. My power level is around 1200 HP and I want a Drag set up, Any advice?

Get a different clutch.......everyone you hear good reviews from are selling the product (behind the scenes) or are friends of them.....this clutch has had nothing but problems and endless revisions. Don't drink the coolaid. Sorry for the answer you do not want to hear but you spent a lot of money on a build and got sold on a bad component.

i have to disagree kyle. I'm friends with most of them but if it doesn't work i wouldn't use it. randy had issues with his erp (which is now mine) and after the new hub was installed and the trans issues were fixed the clutch worked flawlessly at 808rwhp. possibly at higher hp levels it may become an issue but i haven't seen it.

danny i talked to sean and if its a tilton you want he can get it cheaper than anybody else

I hope it's not an issue with the unit itself considering I have the same exact one.

Hey Danny, my clutch got sent out to ERP, and got it back 2 weeks.. apparently theres a new revision. There are 9 floaters instead of 3 and a new hub. my car should be hitting the rollers soon. I hope I don't encounter any problems.

A few guys are on the newest revision and not having a problem

I had major problems pulled box in out 6 plus times. Rebuilt it 4 times. I have new revised sitting here that I will not risk putting in the car, I can't even bring myself to sell it caused I'd hate to inflict the pain onto someone else so it will gather dust till end of time. I went tilton!

Man! This is what I was fearing, all kinds of mixed opinions but rebuilding the gearbox multiple times is definitely not a route I'm willing to take. We should be dropping the motor and gearbox next week and I'll be sending the clutch over to Rob over at RSS. Steve I don't think Hp had anything to do with it Bro, because we weren't even turned up yet at the time. The main issue is when you leave hard from a Dig and heat up the clutch, that's when it creates Havac, and we did that at 960HP.

Sherbaz is infamous around these parts
Put the tilton in and be done with it. If you want to drag the car, you should have put tilton from get go. Hope to see some good runs .

Quality well engineered products should not need constant revisions which point to design deficiencies of said product from the get go....

There was a point in time when it looked like I was the only one having problems with that clutch and you US guys were all happy with it.

Mine is sitting here as well, collecting dust. I decided to give the design a few more revisions, but from what I hear now, it doesn't seem to have gone in the right direction.

As a former ERP owner and almost 1000hp on my old setup, had THE SAME problems and clutch revisions like you..dont know how this product looks and acts today, but my advice is to get a tilton and be done with it, total cost of ownership was much higher than expected

I don't understand how I haven't heard of these issues till now, every time I looked at a higher HP build I usually I saw they went with a ERP and now is when I hear of all this Tilton.

I've had a Tilton Triple in my Porsche at least 6 years and we didn't think twice on my brothers 997TT build either. Problem for a long time was people would flip **** when they saw the price originally.
