996 Turbo 1/2 mile run
996 Turbo 1/2 mile run
We had an awesome day at the Shift Sector Pikes Peak Air Strip Attack today. Got to finally open up my new set up with SRM K24+ turbos, 4.5 I/C's, and a mafless race tune from Markski Tuning. We also ran ms109 fuel for the event, I wanted to remove the front d/s but didn't have time. Tuning the car took forever because of boost leaks (bad check valves), then a blown clutch, then more boost leaks, then ruptured coolant tank. I was really cutting it close on making the event and Markski was very patient and an invaluable resource every time a problem popped up along the way! I could have never got this running right without help from Markski , Sean West., and Cervelli Technical Services. Super happy with the way everything turned out, it was 95* at the event today and I was able to run 160-170 mph runs all day long with no problems.
Here is one vid of me going up against a s/c vette, I'm babying it of the line since I just spent a fortune on a new clutch last week and want it to last!

Thanks I was using track addict with my samsung s6 for video. Pretty cool app, I also have harry lap timer but this seemed to work better for 1/2 mile.
Thanks John! See you at the track soon I'm sure!
Not sure on power, I haven't taken it to the dyno yet but a couple of us have been planning on going.

Good Job Matt... we fought thru some boost leaks and lines popping off, in the end the mafless tune with the filters on the turbos worked out.

I'll try to coordinate with Chris and maybe all 3 of us can do the dyno the same day. Let's wait for these 100F temps to drop off a bit.

You said you have a lap timer running too? I'd like to see the graph to know how hard that sucker pulled. I'm shooting for 175 next month
Thanks, I would like to get to 175/180 consistent too. What upgrades do you have to hit that? I used track addict for my lap timer after we had problems getting harrys to work so I don't know if that show's g's. I'll have to look at the run data. My best was 170 and it was still pulling hard!
Here is one vid of a roll against a buddy in a newer viper t/a, going from a roll took a little too much runway so I didn't get a good time on this one.
