I don't have the CF hood pictured in this thread on my car anymore. We put it on our race car for a 24hr race and just left it on there. I ordered a CF/Kevlar hood for my car which I should receive in a few weeks. This one is should be extremely light at about 6lbs. It will be painted body color.

In the end didnt you buy this hood? They clearly state 3400grams, did you end up buying another product or the actual weight is way higher?!

I posted two dealers above.
I adjusted the hood today. It fits nicely.
The hood sits with its front edge to the front bumper a tiny little bit higher.
I tried to lower the lock more, but its already at the lowest point. Seems i cannot fit the front hood edge lower than the bumper edge. Any hints or tips?

I do not like the look that much right now. But the car gets wrapped so till then its stays like it is.

I've thought to do it like the RS 4.0 and have the exposed carbon stripe in the center beginning at the crest... But then I'd need a carbon roof and decklid as well to complete the look

you could wrap the roof and just add a c/f spoiler to the rear. or just add c/f mirrors and a wing a lot of ways to go
