Black door panel part #'s
Black door panel part #'s
Hello everyone,
Does anyone know the part numbers for left and right door panels in black, preferably without speakers and even with the speaker opening. From what I have gathered, regular 996 and 986 door panels would work if they are the leather type. Seems all door panels with leather have the same gray stitching that 996 turbos came with. Can someone confirm that? Thanks
Also, if anyone is selling these, feel free to PM me

looks like # 5 is what you want. may want to try a salvage yard since these are very expensive

Mine is all black inside and has the factory grey/silver stitching on the door panels/dash/seats/etc. Can anyone confirm if that grey/silver stitching is standard on all black interior 996 Turbos?
I have a set of gt2/3 door panels in black leather/ black carpet. (no airbag or map pocket things). They're not mint, but in very good condition. $400 shipped for pair if you're interested. Pics&info here.

Didn't some 996tt come with a cubby? It looks like GT2 doors do not have the same stitching as a 996TT has.

What's wrong with your existing panels? Have you considered getting them repaired or recovered? There's an upholstery shop in Maryland that has gotten quite the rep for quality work that could probably do it. I don't have the name and contact info handy at the moment but if you're interested I can find it.
I should have worded that differently...blame the beers, lol.
Where TT has speakers, the GTx have a extra open cubby spot, the 986's(without hifi) have a more recessed plain carpet section (and a different armrest over the big/enclosed cubby spot
I can snap pics of all types...IIRC, haven't studied it but GT2/3 (with leather option) has same stitching/design as TT
PICS added..GT2..TT..Boxster

I upgraded my audio and no longer have/want speakers in the doors. I now have a very large hole in the lower part of my door. My original plan is to get it reupholstered in alcantara to match other parts in my car but I'm also looking for other options... like spending $300-$400 for used GTx doors IF the stitching matches. After searching for door panels I found many different ones with different options which lead me to start this post about finding part numbers for turbo door panels with the stitching and no speakers.

Ideally I would want the lower part of the 986 doors (without hifi) and wrap that in alcantara. One of these days I'll take the panels off and see if the lower part can detach from the whole panel and be reattached again

This way I can pick up 986 panel doors in any shape/color for very cheap price, remove the lower part, wrap it in alcantara and reattach to my current panels.
