clutch for a 1000 hp set up
looking for a clutch set up that could easily handle a 1000 hp set up. it must be knee, wallet, and street friendly, lol but most important is a decent tech support from the company and with a human that answers the phone. May inbox me to avoid vendor bashing. I currently have a triple disc but looking for a company that answers their Fu.... phone for goodness sake it's a business! Thanks

the tilton is a time tested warrior of a clutch setup. from the people i have talked to the master cylinder by srm is a great addition to the clutch allowing for adjustment of the pedal which has been lacking in the porsche world.
that being said my erp seems to be working pretty well and flewis a memeber on here has a very low mileage exedy clutch he has for sale at a reasonable price.
theres also the protomotive clutch which blackhorseturbo ran on his 1300 hp 996tt as well. todd has been building big clutches on the sachs platform for years
for a 1000 ft/lb clutch dont be surprised when the price tag runs betweem 3000$ and 4500$

Would love to try the 5.5" Tilton Carbon 3 plate with the Tilton flywheel and the high pressure plate. With the regular high pressure plate it holds 750 ft.lbs. 4 plate holds a 1000. With the ultra high pressure plate the numbers go up another 200 lbs.
The beauty of the 5.5" is that it's MOI is less than half of what it is on the 7.25"! Talk about lightning fast shifts. Very tempting.... The price of the 5.5" Carbon clutch sux however at $6200+

How about a dual disc clutch system that holds 1500 ft lbs of tq - and is as easy to actuate as the stock one - all stock Porsche parts and needs no adjustment - bolt it in sand go... Call me at - 360-340-1581 or email me at alex@maxrpmmotorsports.com

Running the SRM ceramettalic clutch here with the billet master. I drive mine in bumper to bumper traffic fairly often these days. With the stock master it was a little rough, with the billet it's MUCH better! Flywheel has some mass so it's not crazy zippy but I do find I rev it more than I want to pretty often. The ceramettalic does make some noise on my car, IDGAF as it holds with no worries Sean is a pretty busy guy so don't be shocked if he doesn't answer the phone instantly, he's doing a lot himself. But when you get ho,d of him he takes the time and can give you personal experiences as he runs one on his car. I'm not running as much power as you're looking for but Sean has been there, done that on his. This is a triple disk clutch and I expect it to last unlike the rumored carbon maintenance intervals...

just remember that the carbon fiber tilton requires precise adjustment and constant inspection for that adjustment. lifespan is about 5000 miles of hard use and cost is about 6000$ its a great clutch but very expensive and labor intensive compared to the cerrametallic brother

i understand completely john. just letting the o/p know whats involved with that setup. even the 7.25 is pretty fast if you run an aluminum flywheel instead of steel

Understood Steve... The 7.25 would definitely be a better street clutch and is a relative bargain. I was just saying for my use I'd pick the 5.5 but unfortunately the ceramettalic is not available.

Check out this video. Extremely fast car and driver. My friend who built my engine and gearbox built this GT3R motor and gearbox. If I recall he told me its a 3.8 with a 5.5 Tilton metallic. The super low MOI of the clutch assembly allows for some lightning shifts. There is just no way to shift this fast with a heavier clutch set up without destroying the synchros. Obviously this would be pretty much undriveable on the street but I don't really care about that.
