Eow M030
Hi,
I am currently running H&r coils on oem shocks. The main reason why I am doing that is because I wanted lower look over Oem (996TT). Can someone give me some comments on ROW m030 suspension. Does it bounce like what I have now or is it same as oem except lower. Also, how much should I expect to pay and what do i need (4 shocks and 4 springs ? Is that all) ?
Thanks

You're better of going for X73's, the factory coilover option. They are just a little bit lower than ROW ride height and are perfect for the car. ROW suspension is better than the US but not as good as a coilover type. It won't bounce as much but it'll never be as good as the X73's. ROW is basically springs and shocks.

I don't think we can clearly see the pics that was posted by the two previous members... How can you say it look low ? IMO, the picture is not clear enough to justify it.

I know of a ROW M030 suspension that will be coming off an 02 TT with 18,000 miles on it this week. Pm me if anybody is interested. I am sure he will sell it pretty cheap. New it was $2k.
The RoW kit will lower it 20mm +/- 10mm, that is spec. The X73 will yield about 30mm over US and is very aggressive at the track. The problem with just putting 'shorter springs' on a stock shock(US spec) is the inevitable bump steer you will encounter as the shock bottoms out, ie bounciness/floaty feeling.
The RoW kit runs about 1500, the X73 can be had for 17-1800 when on sale, the labour to install either is the same. The X73 isn't a aftermarket style coilover perse, it actually looks like a stock spring/ strut setup, only painted yellow. But that's where the similarities end, it's all business at the track. The RoW kit won't really handle any better than what you have now, just a lower version. I posted pics of my car with an aerokit on the 996 board, it has the x73, sorry can't link it from work.
