window stuck in the up position

help my passenger window is stuck in the up position and will not move with the window switch. when i use the switch i can here a click both up and down (micro switch?) when pushing the window button but no movement at all.
tried disconnecting the battery and reconnecting, nothing at all.
tried pushing down on the window while using the window switch nothing.
does not drop at all when door is open.
does not move when the door is shut.
drivers window works fine.

your "guess" re a failed microswitch is as good as guesses get.

they are known to eventually give out and fail but are usually intermittently functional - until not.

whereas the window regulator failing is indicated by inequal and inconsistent window "drop down" and closure and return - and then there is the door latch switch also a known "wear" item. they all mimic similarly problematic opening and closing.

986/996 shared parts.

i would try "test" the pass side micro switch at the door latch. unless the window button itself has lost connectivity ( which i have never heard of ) - GL w/ it.

update removed the motor from the door but the motor only runs in the up position but will not work in the down position and i can here the switch for the down position activate when you use the window button. so i am thinking motor unless the door latch micro switch would affect this. please chime in with your past experiences.

update: got a replacement motor which works in the up and down directions no other parts required waiting on the door panel sealer to finish the install.
