Problems with a TT in hot weather?

I've been thinking of getting rid of my 996 Cab to get a TT with the prices getting down very reasonable lately on 01-02 models, and with the mod potential of the car it seems like a lot of car for the money. I have some concerns about the summer heat here in Vegas and how it will affect a turbo, will there be problems burning up the turbos in 110-118 heat in the summer? Any reliability issues with running a stage 3 or 4 in hot weather, especially as a daily driver? Also, how common is the 2nd gear pop-out?

I wouldn't beat any car in that temperature. You can certainly drive one around with no issues.

Thanks for the replies.
I was talking to my neighbor down the street, who used to work at a Porsche dealership, and he said something about the heat and turbos being a problem and expensive to replace (he may have worked there back in the air cooled days, though, I'm not sure).
So, is there some cool down procedure needed, like letting the car idle for 30 sec or so before shutoff?

I think the general consensus is 1-2 minutes at idle for a cool down.

After running it hard or if its really hot out, a 2-3 minute cool down depending on what you were doing in the car is really all that's needed, nothing more or else it will start getting hot again from sitting with no airflow!

BTW K16 turbo's to replace are CHEAP now lol, people are selling them for like 600, you can get hybrid turbo's for a few grand, they arent expensive!

Hybrid turbo's can be either stock K16 ported out and with the k24 compressor wheel in, not sure what else they do to it, just the basics and there are k24 hybrids which are reworked stock K24's (x50 and GT2 stock turbo's)

Difference is the capability to make alot of power, alot less lag and overall alot better flowing to make the power!
