I felt sorry for this guy...
I know this was'nt a fair fight, but this jerk was asking for it. Saturday night with my girl in the car. New M3 with two punks pulls up next to and starts reving his engine. I look over and he says "you're not scared...are you?" The light turned green and we were off. This poor guy did'nt have a chance. By the time we reached the next block, I was at least 5-6 cars ahead and pulling away. I was amazed how the car rocketed when I shifted into 3rd gear. The one kinda embarressing moment was, hitting the rev limiter in first...
Last Friday a vette slowed downed purposely in the left lane and stayed even with the guy in the right lane. Eventually the guy in the right lane slowed down. Mr. vette was at least 1.5 car lenghs ahead of me. I was in second at about 3000 RPM. I stepped on it... he step on it.
I too hit the rev limiter in second
but quickly shifted to third and it was bye bye vette. People just can't imagine how fast these cars are. Sometimes I get surprised.
Don't you love these rocketships on wheeks.

I have found that almost no one tries to give me a run when I'm in the Porsche. Maybe b/c it looks the way it does. I do find however that "regular" LI/NY uncourteous drivers who do things like try to speed up instead of slow down in order to let you on the parkway or pass them on the parkway, always get quite a surprise when I'm in the M5. There's nothing more fun than thwarting their attempt to close you out since they weren't expecting the burst of speed that the car is capable of at 50+mph. One of the subtle benefits of a Q-ship!
