You don't need pics, they won't help. Make (or buy) a pressure tester and set them so they start to crack open the WG's when you apply 12psi to them. This will get you a solid 1.1 bar with an occasional 1.2 spike.

They MUST be adjusted by pressure to assure they are exactly matched. There is no way to adjust them properly just by using the "number of turns" method.

FWIW, I made a real good pressure tester from an old boost gauge, a hand held bicycle pump, some vac hose and "T" fitting.

Getting flashed, but what turbos do you have? Stock wastegates or better springs?

stock turbos and wastegates.

I noticed a significant difference. getting 1.1 fairly easy after the flash.

Then you don't need the adjustment. Any more than 1.1 on K16s is a total waste.

Understand I can do this myself. Where can I get a pressure tester?

So when you pull the hose off the WG, and put the pressure guage/hose on it, apply air, how can you tell it cracked open? Can you hear it? or does the guage pressure just drop?

Thanks,

i've been some doing some learning and work in this area as of late. one thing to note. Tested the stock actuators, the arm/flap start moving at 0.35-0.4bar. I suspect it's the boost solenoid n75 (controlled by DME) that limits pressure to the actuator, allowing higher bar pressures. With out flash and exhaust, my car went from 0.6 to 0.8. after flash .8 to 1.0. didn't touch the wastegate. That said, using a 1bar actuator should stablize boost under 1bar, because the solenoid wont have to compensate (but really not necessary IMO 1bar and under). think this is how this works, please correct me if Im wrong.

+ 1 on using an airsource to manually test actuators at diaphram. not that hard to do, just need the right tools.

I put one hand on each side and can feel the arms starting to move much more accurately that you can see then move. Better yet when you have the exhaust off, you can put a finger on the round wastegate cover and just sense when it cracks loose.
