Autozone carries a small set of tamper proof torx bits for around $12. Cheap and they are open late. I found this out after buying an expensive Liesle torx set which turned out not to be tamper proof!

Yeah, these things are surprisingly hard to find. I went to like 7 places one Saturday before finding a dust-covered set in the back of a local indy parts store.

I gave that a try but gave up...they were in there pretty tight....and since I'm doing a few other things and the car is down...I am gonna get the tool. I will probably swap them out with socket-head cap screws...which..IMHO they should have been all along. I guess Porsche doesn't want you swapping MAF's..when they can get you for $500 bucks a pop at the $tealership.lol

Just ordered.

Normally, I'd let the dust settle a bit before ordering a new product, but I recall from my WRX days that Vivid has a good track record of taking care of customers, so I'm going "early adopter".

To get the security torx screws out, I took a dremel tool and cut a slit in the top of those screws. Then I just took a flat-head screwdriver and removed them. Worked like a charm since I couldn't find anyone who had any bits.

We have dynoed several cars here. X50, standard K16, and modified K16 car. There is no need for independent tests... these do the job!
