Your same original 996 shift **** will slot right on again.

I just installed this shifter after reding this thread. It's a huge improvement over my sloppy stock 01 shifter. A little bit harder to get in gear but not too bad.

Does anyone know the differences between our 996tt trans and the 997's?

010 standard 997 GT3 shifter. I did not have B&M, only the stock setup. My comment about the B&M was that this is a snap to install compared to what I have read about the B&M. I can't make a comparison between the two. Hope that helps.

How anyone made the above comparison...is it any less notchy, same throw length?
