Question Big Reds Install on 996 Coupe?

Can it be done.?
My car is a good driver with 18" carrera 5 spoke wheels. Shows too much daylight with the stock rotors.
I don't want to pay for the Bembro upgrade kit, which is about 3000+, and says Bembro on the calipers.
thanks

Not enough of an upgrade to warrant the $2.5K for Big Reds. Stoptech has some cheaper solutions than Brembo and have shown good results in the field.

I think he is looking at used Turbo brakes.

From my understanding it mostly depends on wheels and offsets to clear the rotors.

re Big Reds

used is correct, but i have to buy them very reasonably, to cover the cost of adapting them to my car. so still on the hunt. this is not a track performance issue, but aesthetics with the larger wheels.
thanks

ahhh, for used turbo calipers you'll need turbo/gt3 hubs and mounting hardware as well. I tried going that route but the price difference for Brembo's became too small so I opted for the Brembo 6-piston 355mm kit. Awesome.

you can add 993 turbo reds with little adaptation (no hubs, just mounting hardware for the calipers) the kits comes complete with everything:

Ask for Steve at suncoast. He's great!

I hope this helps!

Thanks Joel!

If you have any question about our kit, Bob, just let me know. It's a pretty straightforward swap, though.

the ebay one won't work. You need to go to the 993 turbo option (suncoast) unless you want to replace the front end/hubs.

The Suncoast option seems cheaper once you factor in the hub cost. Also the the Suncoast kit is brand new with NEW rotors and pads. The replacement Turbo rotors are close to $500 I think and I'm not sure of the pad costs. The SS brake lines are also an extra $125 too.
