exhaust upgrade experiences/opinions please..

i'm interested in upgrading my exhaust only (not cats or headers) for more aggressive sound (not performance) in my 02' 996. i do not want the interior resonance i had when i did an exhaust on my 2000 boxster S (between 2k and 3k rpm was bad).

reccomendations? links much appreciated!

two choices: porsche sport exhaust or TUBIs!!!

this has been debated forever. those two are the best. i've personally heard both and both are amazing sounding systems

the only reason i went with tubi instead of the porsche one is because of the weight savings

I like my Fabspeed mufflers a lot, and as far as I can tell, I don't get resonance in the ****pit.

is there only one fabspeed or several to choose from? price? where did you purchase yours?

how much louder is it at freeway cruise control speeds vs. stock?

Here are some recent postes on the topic:
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-fabspeed.html. I'm sure you'll find more if you search. I went with Fabspeed on my cab and I'm very happy. You can buy directly from Fabspeed and install the mufflers yourself--takes about two hours as long as you buy new clamps for the tips.

PSE is the way to go. The best of both worlds. Quiet when you want quiet, and loud and agressive when you want that. Connect the electrics, but don't attach the wire to the speedometer so that they don't automatically cut out. Then you can have it which ever way you want.

Agency Power is an excellent choice & you will love it. The sound is great and it gives a nice boost in performance. Feel free to contact me for a quote.

Appreciate all suggestions. Perhaps I should narrow it down and see what you guys suggest.. I'm willing to spend a thousand or so (so no Tubi or PSE unless someone has used for a good price), it cannot produce interior resonance (daily driver) or be too loud. So I guess I want the performance of the best for half the price . Is it me or are tubi's and PSE's nearly impossible to find used anyway? Any for sale offers welcomed to

Again, I would suggest Fabspeed. Tried and True for many, many of us. I love mine, not too loud but definitely makes a difference. The price is nice too!

Go with Porsche PSE, beautiful sound, no resonance, you'll be pleased, plus it has a switch in dash to silence the exhaust

so who has experienced any interior resonance with which exhaust?

is the PSE really worth double the cost of the others?

i talked to the dealer about these.. they were unable to tell me if there was a sound difference between 996 c2 stock. anyone else know? they did say could be fitment problem and require modification even though it's a 996 part number.
