What is a fair trade in value for a 2003 C2?
What is a fair trade in value for a 2003 C2?
Mine has 5000 miles and my dealer seems to think that $55,000 is a fair offer. Excellent condition and original price tag in the mid-80's (its also Silver/Grey so an easy combo to resell).
I'm just curious because I might be doing a deal on a GT3. At that price he'll give me a $4k discount on the new car. Which means its like paying MSRP for the GT3 and getting $59k for my car.
Is this a fair deal or am I being ripped off on my car? I feel like that depreciation for a 5k mile car is terrible. I gotta make my decision today basically.

nothing at dealer is ''FAIR.'' have u tried here if u can pass the the to another member. if u can find a 6 speeder that'll be cool for both party. i sold my TT to a follow member & couldn't be happier, thurs made a really good friend.
Unless you are under some extraordinary pressure you don't have to make a decision today!
More people screw up car deals because they get in a hurry than not. Me included.
Take your time. There are lots of GT3's available. Really. Just slow down and find out what your car can bring in a variety of markets.
Obviously selling it yourself will result in a MUCH better price than what a dealer will ever give you. You have to weigh all factors including your own willingness to market the car.
I wish I had taken more time and found a deal from one of my brothers here on the board. I have seen two Turbos in the last six weeks that would have been absolute bargains.
I repeat. Slow down, there are plenty of GT3's available.

Main reason for speed is that I will be able to configure a 2005 GT3 to my specifications if I do the deal. I'm just worried that there won't be many of these around if I wait much longer since I think most of them seem to be October builds. I'm pretty particular about the options that I want. I'll try posting my car here first though.
TAKE YOUR TIME. If you don't care about the money then get what you want. If you care about the money TAKE YOUR TIME. 55K is not a good offer? How much did you pay for it? How much are you losing? You are taking a big hit. Any dealer will give you at least 5K down. There is a gay who is paying 69 for an 04, he might be interested on yours and give you more than that.
