Hello fellow 6speeders... Got a check engine light? Airbag light? I have the Durametric software. I'll let you know what is going on and what you need to fix your baby. I'm in Southern CA.

There are two different levels on the software, hope you have the advanced version or you might be cut off after the first three cars you plug into.

Buying a $100 reader at any Kragen will read 99% of the codes your Pcar can produce (and all your other cars for that matter).

Worth the money IMHO...

Car not starting, no click = battery dead.

I use a battery tender to keep my battery charged at all times, since I don't daily drive my car. Starts right up every time.

CEL on.. without having the code... it will be a guessing game.

Just put in a new battery becuase it was doing that before. I got the old battery tested they said it was a bad battery..So I purchased a new one and its been perfect for a week and half till 2nite. I parked at my house and i was reversin and stulled and it wouldnt turn back on after several attempts. So I will try it out 2marrow to see if it starts again

Wrong... already compared it to the generic readers. Those readers are only good to a certain extent in regards to Porsches. That is why I bought the duramteric.... did my research before. I have both and the durametric shows more codes when compared to my generic.
As for the airbag lights with the generic reader... forget it. Can't even read those.

bmoney..
Sounds like an alternator..
